Brian interrupted with pompous, academic, long-winded
questions, designed to floor any speaker
A performative lecture looking at notions of context, identity,
presentation and the possibilities for microperformance material
drawn from the details of everyday life. Developed and presented
during a residency at the Collective
Gallery, Edinburgh.
Based on a discussion of Friday
Social Evening, FrenchMottershead presented a lecture into
which microperformers intervened. Prior to the lecture, during workshops
attended by local performers, we analysed and used 'the lecture' as
a site and a point of departure. We worked with the performers to
formulate microperformances based on exaggerations of normal lecture
audience behaviour.
