Feedback - Sonic Game

FrenchMottershead researched the project meticulously and subsequently devised a series of interactive games and microperformances that left audiences engaged, amused, baffled, puzzled, thrilled, bored, elated, joyous, nonplussed in equal measure. Which is exactly what we wanted. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Feedback from music audience

The games were cool, I've been to the FrenchMottershead website and had a laugh to myself seeing them again on the website, although I have to admit I really wasn't into participating (because I am a bit of a stiff) it was cool that people were so into it. I definitely thought they added to the shows and the people organising them were really friendly and didn't pressure anyone.

I really enjoyed the games, and on the night I was there (V/VM), the nature of the games fitted perfectly with the atmosphere of the night. I was a little weary of the concept beforehand, but the way the games were presented and the mood of the artists and participants made the whole thing lots of fun.

The inclusion of the games/art pieces really created an event, beyond the music, which in that instant worked really well. I think it is something I would support again in the right context, and would like to see the arts centre get involved in again.

I thought that generally the games were a good idea and went well. It's obviously hard enough to get people to come to gigs today and I think ideas like the games might get people a bit motivated.
